Figure Drawing Journal: Week 4

Part 1: I drew ten faces using blind contour to master the art of drawing a subject with minimal looks at the page.

Part 2: I practiced drawing my roommate in various positions in an attempt to master the art of figure drawing.  This will aid to my character design that I will be doing in the near future.

Part 3: I researched different cultures canon of beauty to get an understanding of what different cultures consider beautiful.  This will aid in my upcoming project in which I have to create an original canon of beauty.  Below are links to the sites that were the most informative.

Part 4: I did a bone and muscle study of the spine and ribcage as well as the muscles that cover them.  This will aid in my understanding of the human form and will help my figure drawing skills.
