A piece in which I use the pattern on a pinecone to create four different stylistic images.
Express pattern as design. Create a realistic drawing, explore three dimensions, create a detail, and stylize the form of a subject in nature.
The picture in the top left depicts a realistic looking pinecone that one would typically see in nature.
The picture in the top right represents a 3-d model of a pinecone. It was made in photoshop by drawing a pinecone and playing with extrusion tools to give it depth.
The picture in the bottom right is a close-up zoomed in feature of the pinecone. It depicts the bottom of a pinecone, and the overlapping pattern that is displayed.
The picture in the bottom left displays a stylistic logo based off of the pinecone. I composed a pinecone out of triangles to provide a new perspective on what a pinecone looks like.
